At what milestones will I be eligible to receive an award?
You will be eligible to receive an award from the Global Service Recognition program on your fifth anniversary with TD and on every five year milestone thereafter as follows:

Year Five – employees in Canada, the U.S. or U.K who achieve five years of service will receive ten TD shares.  Eligible employees in all other locations, in lieu of our ability to provide TD shares in those jurisdictions, will be provided with an award, equivalent to the value of ten TD shares in Canada.

Years 10+ (in five year increments) – employees will be eligible to select from ten TD shares (in Canada, the U.S. or U.K., or an equivalent award in all other locations) or merchandise.


How do I place an order for my award?
To make your selection, click on the AWARDS button on the menu on the left side of the page and then on your eligible award level. By clicking on each thumbnail image, you will see an expanded image and description of each award.

By clicking on SELECT (which will be visible only to eligible employees), you will be prompted to confirm your order.

A confirmation of your order will be displayed. Click OK. Both you and your manager will receive an email order confirmation.


Can I purchase an award from the program?
No, the awards are reserved solely for the Global Service Recognition Program and cannot be purchased.


Is there a deadline for selecting my award for the Global Service Recognition Program?
Eligible employees will be able to select an award for up to one year following their anniversary after which time, award eligibility will be forfeited.   Eligible employees who have not selected their award will receive a reminder email every month for twelve months following the anniversary date, after which time no further communication will be sent.


I am concerned that my manager will embarrass me by presenting me with my gift in front of a lot of people. What should I do?
When you select your award online, you will also be prompted to specify your preferences for a celebration. Your responses will be forwarded to your people manager with the award order confirmation. Please also don’t hesitate to discuss your celebration preferences directly with your manager.

Why does TD award the same value Service Recognition award at all levels?
TD's Global Service Recognition program is our way of universally celebrating the career milestones of every colleague, allowing colleagues to turn that celebration into an opportunity to share in TD's long-term success by being a TD shareholder (starting at 5 years of service).

At TD, we believe all service anniversaries are important, valued and worthy of recognition. That's why we’ve designed a program that is simple and easy to understand to recognize all colleagues equally as they achieve their five year milestones.

In addition to offering the TD shares for every five years of service, the design of the Global Service Recognition program does differentiate at 10+ years by offering the choice of a merchandise gift or the TD shares and to thank our most long tenured colleagues who have chosen to grow their career with TD, colleagues celebrating 25+ years of service also receive an additional week of vacation on their 25th anniversary and every five-year milestone anniversary thereafter (excluding TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank® and TD Reinsurance (Barbados)). This milestone vacation bonus is in addition to increasing annual vacation entitlement with tenure and the milestone anniversary award of shares or merchandise.

Merchandise

I received my merchandise award but there is a problem. Who do I call?

I would like to order a ring but do not know my ring size. What should I do?
For your convenience, we have included a printable ring sizer on our website; however for the most accurate measurement, it is suggested that you visit your local jeweller to have your finger sized.
 
Can I exchange the award that I selected?

Prior to shipment, share or merchandise award orders can be changed by calling the Rideau call centre at 1-888-856-6320 (North America) or 1-514-856-6320 (International), Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm ET and Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm ET, or via email at CustomerService@TDservicerecognition.com. If the award has been shipped, the following exchange rules apply:

Merchandise: If an award recipient is not satisfied with the merchandise item they have selected, Rideau will allow them to return the original item and make an alternative selection within 15 days of receipt, provided that the item is returned unused in the original packaging with all original documentation. Note that Rideau cannot accept any returns, refunds or exchanges on Apple products, as dictated by Apple policy. Issues or returns on Apple products are handled directly by Apple. Rideau will provide recipients with proof of purchase so that the employee can contact Apple directly.

Shares: Shares are purchased on the market as per the Service Recognition Processing Schedule following an employee's anniversary. Once the shares have been purchased on the market, they can no longer be exchanged.

 

Shares (for employees in Canada, U.S. and U.K.)

I elected to receive shares for my Global Service Recognition award. When will I receive my shares?
Employees in Canada, the U.S. or U.K. who selected shares as an award through the Global Service Recognition website will receive an immediate confirmation that the share order has been received. Shares in the Global Service Recognition program are purchased on a biweekly schedule based on the employee's anniversary date. This means that depending on the timing, the shares will be available for the employee to view on the TD Share Ownership & Equity Programs site (https://hr.ras.tdbank.ca/) between two and four weeks following the employee's anniversary.  Employees without access to TD’s HR Remote Access portal will receive login instructions to their personal mailing address following the share order.

Share purchase dates are based on the Service Recognition Processing Schedule.


What are my options for transferring or withdrawing my TD Global Service Recognition shares?
Once the shares are viewable in your account, you can choose to hold the shares in the account, transfer the shares in kind, or sell the shares and deposit the proceeds directly to your bank account. In Canada, transfers in kind may be made to a TD Waterhouse non-registered brokerage account (including TFSA).Employees in the U.S. can transfer the shares in kind to a TD Ameritrade brokerage account.  Employees in the U.K. can transfer their shares to either a Canadian TD Waterhouse non-registered brokerage account (including TFSA) or a U.K. TD Direct Investing account.


When and how can I withdraw my shares?
You may withdraw or transfer some or all of your shares from your Global Service Recognition shares account at any time based on the Service Recognition Processing Schedule. Log on to the TD Share Ownership & Equity Programs site through HR Remote Access (https://hr.ras.tdbank.ca/). Click on Global Service Recognition Program Transactions > Withdrawal or Transfer. The shares available for withdrawal will be displayed in the Member withdrawal transaction view.  Employees without access to TD’s HR Remote Access portal will receive login instructions to their personal mailing address following the share order.

Note:  In Canada and the US, the TD Trading Windows Policy does not apply to everyone. In the UK, the TD Trading Windows Policy does apply to everyone.  If the policy applies to you, please follow the Trading Windows Schedule when submitting instructions to withdraw the proceeds for your account or transfer whole shares. If the TD Information Barriers (formerly Firewalls) Policy applies to you, please ensure that you obtain pre-clearance from Information Barriers (formerly Firewalls) Compliance. In the UK, both private and public side employees are also required to obtain London Compliance approval prior to proceeding with a sale/transfer request using the Service Recognition Share Sale Approval Form available via your HR Intranet. For employees outside of Canada, U.S. and U.K.

I am located in a jurisdiction where share awards are not available and in lieu of shares I elected to receive an equivalent award. When will I receive my award?
Employees outside of Canada, U.S. and U.K. who selected the equivalent award through the Global Service Recognition website will receive an immediate confirmation that the order has been received. Employees can expect to receive their award directly to their payroll account in the first or second available payroll cycle following their anniversary.
